MDVIP-affiliated physician Richard Raborn, MD of Boynton Beach, Florida, was named the recipient of the American College of Physicians (ACP) Community-Based Teaching Award 2009-2010. Dr. Raborn was the only physician in Florida to receive this honor and was presented with the award in Tampa on September 12, 2009.

Dr. Raborn shared his time and knowledge and acted as a mentor to medical students in order to prepare them to provide care and service to patients. From time-to-time, patients in Dr. Raborn’s practice have the opportunity to meet with these students.
Dr. Raborn has a long history of service to his community. He is a volunteer medical director at Caridad Center, past president of the Rotary Club in Delray Beach, and the 1998 recipient of the prestigious Humanitarian Physician of the Year award in South Florida. |
